Privacy Policy

The app is private by default. The website only receives what you send us.

Nudii is designed from the ground up to be private. The app's AI model runs on your device, and your conversations, memories, and pet data are stored locally using Apple's frameworks instead of being sent to our servers.

What stays on your device

The Nudii app stores the following data locally on your device. We do not use our own cloud backend to receive or store this information:

  • Your name — entered during onboarding to personalise AI responses. Stored on-device only.
  • Conversation history — all chat messages with your nudii. Stored locally, used by the on-device AI for context. Never transmitted.
  • Pet state — your nudii's name, species, stats, and evolution stage. Stored via SwiftData.
  • Health data (optional) — if you grant HealthKit access, Nudii reads your step count and workout data to award your nudii a care bonus, at most once per day. Read-only, never written back, never transmitted, never retained between sessions.

What Apple mediates for us

One feature relies on Apple's own systems. Data passes through Apple under Apple's privacy policies — it does not touch any Nudii-operated server:

  • In-app purchases and subscriptions — processed by Apple via StoreKit 2. We do not receive, process, or store any payment information. Premium species, environments, other permanent unlocks, and active subscriptions can be restored through Apple.

What we do not collect

  • No microphone, no voice data — this version of Nudii has no voice features and never requests microphone or speech-recognition access. If a future version adds voice, this policy will be updated before release to disclose exactly how audio is processed.
  • No advertising SDKs in the app. No third-party tracking. No ads.
  • No analytics backend — we do not operate servers that receive in-app behavioural data.
  • No chat servers — your conversations with your nudii never leave your device.
  • No accounts — Nudii does not ask you to sign up, log in, or create a profile.

Website and support email

If you join the waitlist, email support, or email privacy, you are intentionally sending contact information through website or email providers so we can respond. Waitlist emails are handled by Formspree. Support and privacy emails reach us through standard email providers. This is separate from the in-app privacy model.

Safety

Nudii is a companion, not a substitute for real support. If a conversation suggests someone may be in crisis, the app sets the character aside and shows real crisis resources, in English and Spanish. This check runs on-device, like the rest of the conversation.

Children's privacy

Nudii is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not operate our own servers to store your chats or pet data; that information stays on your device. Website or support contact is optional and separate.

Data deletion

All in-app data is stored on your device. To delete everything, uninstall the app — there is no server-side copy to request deletion for. Apple can still restore eligible purchases afterward, but not your nudii's local memories, chat history, or progress under the current no-cloud design.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if our privacy practices change. The "Last updated" date above will reflect any revision. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
